 PROGRAMS

AFTER SCHOOL ART ENRICHMENT

Our after-school program is offered at the Andrew J. Brown Academy Charter School and, in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, at seven different inner-city Catholic schools. 

Duration:  Beginning in September throughout the school year

Frequency:  Weekly basis

Time:  3:30–5:30 p.m.

Target population:  Grades K-8, with separate curricula developed for grades K-1, 2-4 and 5-8. 

AWAH takes its art education program directly to each of the school locations.

SATURDAY HONORS ART CLASSES

In our Saturday program, tuition scholarships are offered to selected summer students to continue art instruction throughout the year.  Classes are offered four times per month on Saturdays throughout the September - March time period.

KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

Our program is in collaboration with Auntie Mame’s and Winding Ridge Elementary in Lawrence Township.  This is a weekly program, offered during the school day during the months of October through May.

The MSDLT Kindergarten Program will provide visual arts knowledge and skill instruction to both teachers and students, and will support the integration of the visual arts into the regular academic kindergarten program. 

The Kindergarten program includes:

1.       Hands-on teacher training for the Kindergarten teaching staff  

2.       In classroom collaboration with individual teachers on core curriculum / visual arts

3.       Student time in the school art studio

4.       Children's collaborative permanent art installation

5.       Visual arts field trips
